Love story of a couple who fell in love with each other but destiny kept them apart... I was studying in the college far from my hometown, mostly, I used to spend my time alone in my apartment. As I was good in my studies, I usually ended up having uninvited friends over my apartment. But after some time I got used to it and I literally started to enjoy their company. Well, the time was just passing by. After a year, my sister got married, and she moved to the city near my college, so I started visiting her very often. I remember maybe that was my second or third visit to her, and we mostly used to have a coffee in her balcony like we were just talking, and I got my eyes on a girl across from the gallery. I can't express my emotions, but I just got stunned there. In a nutshell, if I want to express her, then the "ANGEL" would be a more appropriate word. rushed to the hospital, holding a rope which tied to the wheelchair. Dugu with
its two babies who were helping Dugu to pull the wheelchair. They were so quick
and destined about reaching the hospital. After 20 minutes run, they reached
the hospital and seeing them; everybody got shocked. Because Dugu did something
unimaginable because Dugu was…
Like
every other day, Kartik went for the jog. After the jog, Kartik used to stop at
the grocery store to buy regular stuff. When Kartik was about to leave the
grocery store rain suddenly started. He waited at the grocery store for about a
half an hour excepting the rain would stop. But after a half an hour also rain
didn't stop, so Kartik went out anyway. He rushed towards his home to save
himself from getting wet. He was about a mile away from home, and at the
corner, he heard some voice. He felt like it was calling for him. He looked
around, but he didn't find anything. He started to move, but he again heard the
same voice. He looked around carefully (because due to rain the vision was not
clear) and he saw a puppy was crying for help, and that puppy hid under the
chair, and that chair was not able to cover the puppy from the rain. Kartik got
emotional seeing that puppy there crying. Kartik went close to him and tried to
pick it but in the fear that puppy tried to bite Kartik. But Kartik somehow
managed to pick it up, and when Kartik ran his hand on its head, puppy stopped
crying, and it licked Kartik's hand. Kartik felt something he couldn't
understand, so Kartik took it to his home.
Kartik noticed that the puppy was too hungry so Kartik fed it,
and Kartik gave it a towel to sleep. After eating the puppy fell asleep right
away. Kartik let it sleep, and Kartik went for an office, and Kartik let the
garden door open so the puppy could walk out if it needed. In the evening, when
Kartik came back home, the puppy was waiting for him. The puppy licked Kartik
the moment he stepped in. (It showed its affection and love towards the
Kartik.) Kartik gave it food, and in the night when the puppy fell asleep,
Kartik decided to leave it back to its place because Kartik had no idea
about it. Kartik left it and came back home, but that night Kartik was not able
to sleep at all. Kartik was only thinking about that puppy.
In
the morning when Kartik opened his door to collect newspaper, he saw that puppy
sleeping in the front of his gate. Kartik felt happy and relaxed at the same
time because he was worried about the whole night. Kartik picked him and came
inside. When puppy waked up, it suddenly started to show its happiness by
jumping around moving its tale. Kartik gave it some food and Kartik bathed it.
Kartik spends that whole day with it, and Kartik decided to keep it. The next day, he visits the pet animal officials to license it so no one would take it
back or anything.
Kartik
was happy having it because somehow that puppy made Kartik stressed free. After
all, Kartik was an orphan, and that puppy filled that space. Kartik gave it a
name "DUGU" it was Kartik's nickname and his parents used to call him
by that name.
April
15, that was the day when Kartik found Dugu. That day Dugu completed two and a
half years, and Kartik threw a dog party for Dugu. By that time, Kartik and
Dugu got so connected. They used to spend most of the time with each other.
Kartik used to treat Dugu like his baby. Kartik gave Dugu its own room. He
arranged everything for Dugu.
The
one day when Kartik got home, he found Dugu lying on the floor. Dugu didn't do
anything, so Kartik got worried. Kartik took Dugu to the doctor. The doctor
checked Dugu, and when the doctor came out, the doctor told Kartik that Dugu
was pregnant. Kartik was shocked and happy at the same time. Kartik was unable
to understand on what earth that happened. Kartik asked the doctor, and the
doctor explained everything. Kartik took Dugu back to home, and that day Kartik
relaxed with Dugu because Kartik was so happy for Dugu although he didn't have
any idea about his daughter in law (Ha-ha).
Kartik
laughed very hard and said to Dugu, hmm behind my back and hearing that Dugu felt shy.
The day came when Dugu delivered its babies. Kartik was happy. He was sitting
outside when the doctor brought the babies to him, seeing them Kartik's eyes
filled with happiness. Days gone those babies started to grow. After some days
very unthinkable happen Dugu's three babies died, and from that day Dugu got so
silent. Dugu stopped eating and everything. Kartik decided to make her feel
good. Kartik took days off from the office and started to spend the whole time
with Dugu and her two babies.
After
some days Dugu forgot and started to act normal.
One
day on the way back home, Kartik met with an accident. He got hit on the head,
and his legs bones got fractured. He was in the hospital for the whole week,
and in that time Kartik was only thinking about Dugu because Dugu was alone at
home. After a week, Kartik came back home on the wheelchair because of the
fracture he was not able to walk, and the doctor asked him to rest for some
months. When he reached home, he saw Dugu, and he started to cry. Dugu ran to
him and hugged him, and Dugu's babies were showing their happiness by jumping
around. Kartik was worried for Dugu, but Dugu took care of it by itself and its
babies also.
Kartik
was not able to walk, so he trained Dugu to pull him around the home because
sometimes pulling a wheelchair by himself was difficult for Kartik. In some
days, Dugu and its babies learned that. They started to pull Kartik around the
home. Kartik also taught Dugu to bring groceries and do some workaround. In
those days Dugu got trained in many things. One day Kartik was playing with
them, and while playing, Kartik suddenly fell unconscious. Dugu licked him
tried to wake him up. Dugu and its babies started to bark so loudly but no use.
(Dugu knew where the hospital was.) Dugu opened the door and walked outside to
check. (It was raining outside.) Dugu started to pull Kartik with his
wheelchair towards the door. Seeing Dugu it babies also began to draw. Dugu
covered Kartik in a sheet to save him from the rain.
Dugu
pulled Kartik outside and began to run towards the hospital. Dugu was keeping a
sharp eye on Kartik. After 20 minutes or so Dugu and Kartik reached the
hospital. When they entered the hospital, everyone was shocked, seeing them
bringing Kartik unconscious. The doctor took Kartik in and gave water and some
snacks to Dugu. Dugu refused to eat anything, and Dugu was sitting in front of
the door. The doctor came outside and tried to lure Dugu away but no use. Dugu
was there sitting so stubbornly. After some time doctor came out and asked
around if someone is there with Kartik, but there was no one. Everybody was
just walking around dull and sad. The doctor managed to get in contact with
Kartik's friend, and they called him. Kartik's friend Vishal came, and the
doctor told him that because of that hit Kartik got a tumour in the head and it
stopped the blood flow to reach the brain, and the doctor adds further, I am
sorry, but Kartik is no more.
Vishal
understands the situation, but he was confused about how to make Dugu
understand it. Vishal knew how Dugu and Kartik were close. Somehow he managed
to lure Dugu away, but when the doctors brought Kartik out, Dugu ran to him and
sat beside him on the stretcher and started to lick him. (Because Dugu was used
to wake Kartik by licking him.) Dugu licked Kartik, barked at him but no use.
Dugu's babies started to cry. Dugu refused to let go Kartik away from him.
Vishal
took Kartik back to his home. Vishal made all the arrangement and let everyone
know about the incident. In an hour in the night, everybody gathered at
Kartik's place.
Dugu
was there with Kartik and Dugu didn't leave Kartik for a second. Vishal tied
Dugu's babies outside. When everything arranged for the funeral, Vishal tried
the last time to take Dugu away from the Kartik. When Vishal tried to call
Dugu, Dugu didn't reply. Vishal walked to Dugu and when Vishal tried to pick
Dugu up but Dugu fell on the ground. Dugu stopped moving. Vishal checked Dugu
but Dugu was not breathing. Vishal let Dugu's babies to it they tried to wake
Dugu up.
Vishal
realised that Dugu passes away. (Dugu didn't leave its Dad's hand and its went
with Kartik.)
Vishal
tied its babies outside. Arrange to give a proper funeral to Dugu. Vishal gave
the funeral to both of them. Everybody got so emotional seeing the love of a
dog for its owner. Vishal
took Dugu's babies with him.
Vishal
was storytelling this to his son. Because Vishal named his son
"Dugu", those two (Dugu's the dog babies) showered the love to his
son from the very day when Vishal son was born."
